Armed force recruiters asked to leave by City of Berkeley

The City Council has voted to tell the Marines their downtown recruiting station is not welcome and “if recruiters choose to stay, they do so as uninvited and unwelcome guests.”. Lawmakers in Washington fired back this week, threatening to take back more than $2 million of federal funding to the city.
One of the sign protesters hold reads: “Join the Marines. Travel to Exotic Lands. Meet Exciting and Unusual People — And Kill Them”
