Teen Dads and Babies’ Health Risk

Although teenage fathers may be more likely than older men to have babies, their babies are at high health risk. According to a longitudinal study, babies fathered by teens were more likely to be: Low birth weight, small size for their gestational age, pre-term birth, less healthy at birth and higher death rate from birth through their first birthday.
