Google for password hunt
A new tool has been released by the hacking group Cult of the Dead that turns Google into a vulnerability exposer. The tool is called Goolag and is available as an open source software. The tool is a stand-alone Windows .Net application with an easy-to-use graphical interface. The Cult of the Dead Cow is best known for its Back Orifice software, which could be used to remotely control a Windows machine.
Yahoo Sued by Investors
A lawsuit has been filed against Yahoo for rejecting Microsoft’s $44.6 billion buyout offer. According to the lawsuit, Yahoo has “failed” in their duties to shareholders by rejecting the offer, putting the investments of everyone in the company at risk. Two Detroit pension funds sue the company.

A new study found that white-tailed jack rabbits were abundant in Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, and have vanished due to an unknown reason. The disappearance of this species could be disease, extreme weather, predation or other factors.

YouTube banned in Pakistan.
Pakistan has blocked access to the popular YouTube website because of content deemed offensive to Islam. Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad which outraged many is featured in Youtube. The website would remain blocked till further orders. Other countries that have temporarily blocked access to YouTube include Turkey and Thailand. Thailand lifted the band later after the video which insulting King had been removed from the site.

Greenest Vehicles of 2008
American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) chose Honda Civic GX as the greenest vehicle of the year. Civic GX won the title for fifth consecutive year. Natural gas-powered Civic GX ranked first with the gasoline Civic, Fit and Civic Hybrid joining the list of the 12 most environmentally-conscious vehicles available to the public. This is the eighth year in a row that a Honda vehicle received the number one ranking.
Vista SP1 update pulled by Microsoft
After receiving reports of an error, Microsoft temporarily suspend automatic distribution of Vista SP1 update to avoid further customer impact. There were numerous complaints from customers who already installed the update before the withdrawal of the update. In some cases its reported that the update had corrupted PCs and resulted in the need to reformat the hard drive.
