An estimated US$300 million project has been planned to build a high-bandwidth sub sea fiber optic cable linking United States and Japan. A consortium of six international companies have come to an agreement to build this Trans-Pacific infrastructure. The cable system is named “Unity“. The length of the system would be 10,000 km.
