Diesel TreesAn acre of 100 mature Copaifera langsdorfii  trees might be able to produce 25 barrels of fuel per year. These trees can grow trunks 30 metres tall and store the oil in their unusual capillary structure. A single Copaifera langsdorfii will continue to produce fuel oil for 70 years. The diesel produced from these trees can be placed straight into a diesel tractor or truck after a simple refining process.
