South Asian nation Bangladesh’s land mass is growing with a rate of 20 Square Kilometers per year. With this rate of landmass growth the country will have additional 1000 Square Kilometers of land by 2060. The growth is caused by the deposit of sediments washed down by Ganges, Brahmaputra and numerous other rivers. But ironically this landmass may be swallowed up by the increasing sea levels caused by climate change. There are more than 20 countries in the world that have area less than 1000 Square Kilometers.
