The Iranian news agency Fars reported that Iranian fighter planes intercepted an American Falcon plane that disregarded Iranian warnings and penetrated Iranian airspace from the direction of Turkey. Passengers included five senior American generals and three civilians, the report said. They were interrogated at the airport, and were released yesterday. The U.S. military coalition in Iraq said that only a business jet was forced down in Iran due to an airspace violation.
