The OpenOffice.org Community announced earlier this week the release of OpenOffice.org 3.0. OpenOffice is a free office software suite designed as an alternative to Microsoft Office. The OpenOffice.org (OOo) project ranks high among the most popular open source software applications. In the new version users no longer have to rely on the NeoOffice port or use X11 to run OOo on a Mac. Even corporations begin to use Openoffice in their workplaces.
