Microsoft Pitches Surface to New Markets

Microsoft gave a demo of health-care applications designed for the Surface tabletop computer to Oprah Winfrey’s production company. Microsoft Surface, is a multi-touch computer which is developed as a software and hardware combination technology that allows a user, or multiple users, to manipulate digital content by the use of natural motions, hand gestures, or physical objects. It has a 360-degree user interface and a 30-inch reflective surface. In one demonstration, a normal paint brush was used to create a digital painting in the computer. The price tag for a Surface is US$12,000.
