Dark KnightThe “Dark Knight” star Christian Bale was arrested in London after allegedly assaulting his sister and mother. His mother and sister brought the accusations to the Hampshire police station. After being held for more than four hours, Bale was released on the condition that he returns to the station at an unspecified date in September. The film Dark Knight raked in 158.4 million dollars, breaking the previous North American box-office opening record of 151.1 million held by “Spider-Man 3″.

US Man Had A Baby Girl

He underwent gender reassignment; had breasts removed; taken male hormones to get facial hair; but has kept female reproductive organs to carry a baby. His name is Thomas Beatie 34, he and his daughter are reported to be doing well in a hospital in Bend, Oregon.

Comedian George Carlin Dies at 71

George CarlinComedian George Carlin,died of heart failure at a Los Angeles-area hospital on Sunday. He was 71. George Carlin was a Grammy-winning American stand-up comedian, actor, and author. Carlin’s most recent stand-up routines focused on the flaws in modern-day America. Carlin was scheduled to receive the John F. Kennedy Center’s prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in November. Carlin wrote three best-selling books, won four Grammy Awards. He had long struggled with health problems and a heart condition dating to the 1970s.

Charles Dickens Desk.The writing desk and chair used by Charles Dickens while he was writing the “Great Expectations” sold for over $850K. The money raised in the auction will be donated to the Great Ormond Street children’s hospital in London. Hospital’s founder was a close friend of Dickens.The furniture was kept in Dickens’ study at his country home Gad’s Hill in southeast England and is seen in several portraits of the author. The widow of Dickens‘ great-great grandson Christopher Charles Dickens, recently donated the furniture to the hospital.

Grand Theft Auto Grand Theft Auto IV sold 926,000 copies in its first week. Sales for GTA IV were almost evenly divided between the two consoles on which it is available. According to Chart Track,55% of sales were on the Xbox 360 and the remainder on the PlayStation3. The game follows Eastern European immigrant-turned-gangster Niko Belic on crime missions around a fictional Liberty City.
