United States shipped four electrical fuses for Minuteman nuclear missile warheads to Taiwan, instead of sending helicopter batteries. The mistake was discovered only last week a year and a half after the shipment. Officials said the nose-cone fuses contained no nuclear material and were similar in function to the ones used for conventional munitions, though these were designed specifically to send an electrical signal to the trigger of the MK-12 nuclear warhead as it was approaching the ground.

The re-enactment of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ is part of a annual spectacle, in this northern Philippines village of San Pedro Cutud. The 47-year-old Ruben Enaje was the first of 19 men who underwent the bloody Easter crucifixion ritual. 18-centimeter metal nails were driven into his both palms and feet while lying spread-eagled over the cross. “It is painful and difficult. But I will continue doing this for as long as I can,” the father-of-four said.

A British businessman has got a bill for £11,000 mobile data roaming fee after his wife used an “unlimited” data account to download TV shows via a mobile phone. Wife of a business executive used his phone to start the file downloads from UK. However, he took his phone on a trip to Germany, and once back in coverage - the handset resumed the data download, at overseas roaming rates. Had the download occurred completely within the UK, it would have been free of charge.

RateMyCop.com allow allows users to post comments about police they’ve interacted with, and rate them, the stores the names and, in some cases, badge numbers of over 140,000 cops in as many as 500 police departments. The site was launched on February 28th. Without any notification hosting company GoDaddy took the site down. RateMyCop.com founder Sesto says he’s already arranged hosting elsewhere, and hopes to have the site online Tuesday night.

A First-year student in Ryerson University,Canada is fighting charges of academic misconduct for helping run an online chemistry study group in Facebook. He has been charged with one count of academic misconduct for helping run the group and another 146 counts, one for each classmate who used the site. The student faces an expulsion hearing today before the engineering faculty appeals committee. If he loses that appeal, he can take his case to the university’s senate.
After the discovery of images of the Fort Sam Houston army base in Texas on Google Maps Street view, Pentagon has banned Google from filming inside US military bases. Google maps Street view allows web users to “drive” along virtual US landscapes with ground-level views. After US military had expressed concerns, Google removed the images.
A 17-second Internet video clip showing a US Marine throws a puppy off a cliff has drawn sharp condemnation, widespread outrage and a military investigation. The low-quality video shows two Marines joking before one hurls the puppy into a rocky gully. A yelping sound is heard as it flips through the air.
