Political Blogs More Credible than Newspapers, Say Those Who Read Both

newspaperAccording to research by a Brigham Young University political scientist, people who closely follow both political blogs and traditional news media tend to believe the content on blogs is more accurate. Professor Richard Davis reports this and other blog-related insights in Typing Politics, a new book published by Oxford University Press. Davis studied daily blog readers from a nationally representative sample and found that just 3 percent got most of their news from blogs. Most readers still got their information from traditional news organizations, despite some bloggers’ predictions that they would entirely replace traditional media. Dismantle civilizationBloggers at the endgames believes that the natural world is under attack. Our global economy & corporate capitalist system is destroying the planetary eco system at a pace that few of us can comprehend. Old growth forests are all but gone.
This blog hopes to pull together many diverging strands of information, to illustrate that the problem lies not with any one simple factor, but with the whole culture that we call civilization. The way we have been raised to view humans as superior and separate to nature, and hence how we behave in relation to our surroundings is ultimately the problem.

World’s Oldest blogger passed away

Olive Riley,world’s oldest blogger has passed away this Saturday in a nursing home in Woy Woy, Australia at the age of 108. Riley began blogging February last year. She had posted more than 70 entries on her blog. Her posts can be still read in her blog Life of Riley . She had a sizable international audience on her blog. She was born on October 20, 1899 and will be buried later this week on the NSW Central Coast.
