Google and Sony are expected to announce a non-exclusive digital books partnership today, a move that goes directly at Amazon and its new Kindle reader. With the Sony reader, there are still titles available for purchase online. But the Google catalog boosts Sony’s offerings by adding the more than 500,000 public domain books scanned by Google as part of its controversial book digitization project. Those titles will be made available for free. The move, announced today, dwarfs the roughly 245,000 closed-format titles currently available for the much-hyped Amazon Kindle.

A Chinese designer has designed a new Camera for visually impaired people. The camera named “Touch Sight” has has a lightweight, flexible Braille display sheet which displays a 3D image by embossing the surface, allowing the user to touch their photo. In addition to the Braille display sheet “Touch Sight” includs a unique feature which records sound for three seconds after pressing the shutter button. When taking photographs it should be held against the forehead like a third eye. Its proved that its the optimal position to capture the image.
When its come to online security there is one more thing you need to worry about. Google Gadgets!. According to SecTheory a security consultancy firm,Google gadgets can be forcibly installed and can be used to phishing purposes. The potential impact of these attacks is through cookie theft, or theft of confidential and sensitive information from the Gadget or user. Its also revealed by the firm that a malicious webpage can add a Gadget to a user’s iGoogle homepage without his knowledge and assist in the spread of gadget-based malware. Google gadgets are miniature objects that offer useful and dynamic content which can be placed in personalized Google homepages. Its not known whether these kind of attacks can be prevented by Anti virus programs.
