Al-Qaeda Accuses Iran of Cooperation with US

Ayman al-ZawahiriAyman al-Zawahiri, believed to be the second in command of Al-Qaeda has accused Iran of collaborating with Washington in Afghanistan and Iraq. Zawahiri claimed Tehran was “cooperating with the Americans in occupying Iraq and Afghanistan” and blamed Iran for recognizing the two democratic governments there. He also celebrated former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf’s resignation. But US recently condemned Iran for having secret contact with leadership of al Qaeda. Al-Qaeda has issued the video to mark the seventh anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

Iran Plans to Send first Astronaut to Space in 10 Years

Iran RocketIran plans to send a manned rocket into space in the next 10 years, Fars News agency reported. Iran announced last Sunday that it successfully launched a home-made satellite-carrier rocket named Safir (messenger) and placed a dummy satellite into orbit. But U.S. officials said the vehicle which Iran said had delivered a dummy satellite into space failed shortly after lift off. Iran planned to put a “series of satellites” into space by 2010 to aid natural disaster management programs and improve telecommunications, said Iranian Space Organization chief Reza Taghipour. Iran and some other Islamic countries has been constructing an Islamic satellite called “Besharat” (Good News). Its a noticeable achievement for the country despite long-time sanctions imposed by the West.

Iran Test fired Long range Missiles.

Iran Missile RangeIran warned the United States and Israel it was ready to retaliate for any attack on their country,following the test fire of nine long range missiles. Iranian officials have said the missiles could reach targets 2,000 km away. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has insisted his country had no intention of attacking Israel. Crude Oil prise rose $2 to around $138 a barrel. Iran is the world’s fourth largest oil producer. The French, German and Italian governments expressed concern at the missile tests.

Oil Price “fake & imposed”: Ahmadinejad

According to Adolf Eichmann, a senior SS official about 6 million Jewish people were killed by Nazis, 50% of them in gas chambers.

Iran offers $1bn loan to Iraq

Iraq iranIran is offering a $US1 billion loan to Iraq for projects to be handled by Iranian firms, an Iranian official said, two days before a landmark visit by Iran’s president to Baghdad. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad visit will be the first trip by an Iranian president since the 1979 Islamic revolution. Iran and Iraq fought an eight-year war in the 1980s.

Iran has been accused by western nations of building nuclear weapons. Iran insists its nuclear programme is designed only to generate electricity.
