North Korean hackers are suspected of launching a cyber-attack on some of the most important government offices in the US and South Korea in recent days, including the White House, the Pentagon, the New York Stock Exchange and the presidential Blue House in Seoul. A defiant North Korea on Saturday vowed to build more nuclear bombs and to start enriching uranium for a new weapons programme after the UN Security Council imposed sanctions over last month’s nuclear test. The North Korea, describing Friday’s sanctions resolution as a “vile product” of a US-inspired campaign, said it would never abandon nuclear weapons and would treat any attempt to blockade it as an act of war. A South Korean navy warship warned Somali pirates away from a North Korean freighter Monday by threatening to open fire, the South Korean military said. South Korean scientists say they have engineered four beagles that glow red using cloning techniques that could help develop cures for human diseases. The four dogs, all named “Ruppy” - a combination of the words “ruby” and “puppy” - look like typical beagles by daylight. Some crazy reports are coming out that North Korea’s,leader Kim Jong-Il has been dead for five years. A Japanese expert on North Korea is claiming doubles are being used to give the impression that he’s still alive. He succeeded his father Kim Il-sung, founder of North Korea, who died in 1994, and commands the fifth largest standing army in the world. North Korea is celebrating its 60th anniversary.
Air China becomes the world’s only foreign airline to fly regularly to North Korea’s capital Pyongyang. Air China said previously that it saw the financial potential in the route, primarily from the Chinese tourist business.
