Possessing a greater purpose in life is associated with lower mortality rates among older adults according to a new study by researchers at Rush University Medical Center. After adjusting for age, sex, education and race, a higher purpose of life was associated with a substantially reduced risk of mortality. Thus, a person with high purpose in life was about half as likely to die over the follow-up period compared to a person with low purpose. Full Story : emaxhealth.com….

Most of the Earth’s methane comes from living organisms as they digest nutrients. But it could be produced possible by a water reacting with hot rock.

Research led by the University of Alberta and funded by the Canadian Institute for Health Information shows that there is a clear link between the urban surrounding and likelihood of obese. The study found that lower-income neighbourhoods were more likely to have greater access to sources of high-calorie foods, such as fast-food outlets, and lower access to supermarkets or other stores stocking healthy foods.
