London Man shot three times for wearing Barack Obama T-shirt
Dube Egwuatu,a data analyst was shot three times in a London street for wearing a Barack Obama T-shirt. The gunman confronted him and used racial slurs inside a shop, and shot him three times using a gas-powered ball-bearing pistol. The incident happened in broad daylight. No one has been arrested.

A new iPhone app has been launched by Obama campaign which makes it easier for users to call their friends in the swing states and to encourage them to vote for Obama. The application’s “Call Friends” function organizes the user’s personal contacts in the phone by swing state. The application also allow users to find out Obama’s position on issues such as education, foreign policy and defense and watch videos, donate money, receive updates and check out local events.

Wal-Mart,employs 1.4 million workers. It has rigorously resisted being unionized and opposes the bill. Last month, the Wall Street Journal first revealed the details of this accusation. Barack Obama supports a bill in Congress that proponents say would make it easier for workers to organize.
Reporters Violently Manhandled and Arrested in Republic Convention
Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman and producers Sharif Abdel Kouddous and Nicole Salazar were violently manhandled by law enforcement officers and arrested. Goodman was arrested while questioning police about the unlawful detention of Kouddous and Salazar who were arrested while they carried out their journalistic duties in covering street demonstrations at the Republican National Convention.

According to Nielsen Media Research, more people watched obama speak from a packed stadium in Denver on 28th,August than watched the Olympics opening ceremony in Beijing, the final “American Idol” or the Academy Awards this year. Most national polls have given Obama a narrow lead over McCain throughout the summer. In June Obama had a 5 point lead in the Reuters/Zogby poll. Obama still has a strong support among voters between the ages of 18 and 29. He won 52 percent support among young voters.

Barack Obama introduced Joe Biden as his vice-presidential running mate. Biden is the senior United States senator from Delaware. Currently in his sixth term in the Senate, Biden has served for the sixth-longest period among current senators (fourth among Democrats) and is Delaware’s longest-serving senator. Obama announced the pick on his Web site with a photo of the two men and an appeal for donations. It seems like Obama is more popular than McCain in Europe. His campaign has raised roughly 10 times more money than the republican candidate.
