Birth Weight Can Predict Future Health

When they tested child’s response to stress, problem in vascular resistance was observed. Vascular resistance is a property of blood vessels which makes it harder for the blood to be pumped through. This can lead to blood pressure problems in adulthood. After going through public speaking and mental arithmetic test designed to make them nervous, and increase heart-rate, boys who born smaller were more likely to have higher vascular resistance than those born bigger.

According to a new study, men tend to consume alcohol when they are stressed or upset. Women feel sad or anxious, which lead to depression and anxiety, and they also tend to think over and over again about their negative emotional state. But men are more likely to distract themselves from negative emotions, and try not to think about these emotions. This can lead to alcohol related disorders.

It is the second most common form of cancer among women after breast cancer. A new study revealed that a can reduce her ability to fight off the human papilloma virus or HPV which is one of the factor leads to the development of cervical cancer. A publication in the February issue of Annals of Behavioral Medicine, states strong link between stress and cervical cancer.
