Beware Of The Summer: 5 Things About Skin Cancer
The presidential candidate John McCain had a skin spot, and removed from his face on July 28th, 2008. He wanted to share different message to Americans. Here are few important information that you need about skin cancer. Melanoma is deadly and more than 1 million people are diagnosed for skin cancer each year, and 8,000 U.S. residents die each year. But Melanoma is preventable. Exposure to the sun causes 90% of all skin cancers. Limiting mid-day exposure or covering up is the best way to avoid it.
Sunscreen is not a cure, since it only protects against UVB not against UVA. Men are more likely to work outside and have the highest exposure to the sun’s harmful rays than women. Tanning is not healthy, because UV rays fry inner layers of the skin, which causes the body to release melanin pigment to darken the outer layers as a protective measure.

Sunlight Helps You Live Longer?
There is a relationship between the low vitamin D levels and deaths from heart disease. Patients with the lowest vitamin D in their blood were two times more likely to die from any cause during the next eight years than those with the highest levels of vitamin D. But largest doses of vitamin D pills or sun exposure can be dangerous and can lead to skin cancer. Low vitamin D levels may be reflected by age due to the lack of physical activity and other lifestyle factors.
New Planet “Super-Earths” Discovered
There are new planets called “super-Earths” have been identified by Astronomers, and announced at an astronomy conference in Nantes, France. These rocky planets are between two and 10 times the mass of Earth. The High Accuracy Radial velocity Planet Searcher called Harps instrument was used to detect these 3 new planets. They circle a star that is smaller than our Sun, and it is located 42 light-years away.
