Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Tuesday that California should study other nations’ experiences in legalizing and taxing marijuana, although he is not supporting the idea. The number of ailing people turning to medical marijuana to ease their symptoms has spiked this year, say dispensary owners in some of the 13 states where it’s legal. Requests have jumped anywhere from 50 to 300 percent, they say, since President Barack Obama took office and signaled that he won’t use federal marijuana laws to override state laws as the Bush administration did. April 20th is National Pot Smokers day. Do you know, “four twenty”(420) is a term used in North America as a discreet way to refer to the consumption of Marijuana. Although many diverse theories exist to explain the origin of the term one central root of the phrase stems from a group of guys (Waldo’s) in the 1970’s made 4:20 their official meeting time to smoke marijuana after school. Phrases such as “420 friendly” sometimes appear in roommate advertisements, indicating that the current occupants are tolerant of cannabis users.
