Jehovah’s Witnesses More Likely to Die in Childbirth, Study Finds

Gossiping may be just what the doctor ordered because it increases progesterone, a hormone that reduces anxiety and stress and makes women happier, according to an article in the London Daily Mail. The new research, at the University of Michigan, paired up 160 female students. After 20 minutes, the girls who had asked each other “chatty” questions were found to have increased or steady progesterone levels, while the progesterone levels of the girls who’d worked on the botany project declined, Brown explains. The study shows that female students of all ages and social and ethnic groups now outstrip male undergraduates in almost every subject including law and medicine. Aspirin a Day ‘may lower risk of breast cancer’

AspirinDaily dose of Aspirin may protect women against breast cancer, a landmark study suggests. The study found that those taking Aspirin painkillers had a 12 per cent lower risk of breast cancer during their lifetime than the general population. This research was carried out by the University of British Columbia, the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute and the University of Santiago de Compostela. In US alone nearly 200,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

61 Year Old Woman Had A Baby

NeonateA Japanese woman aged 61 gave birth to her grandchild. Her daughter donated an egg a clinic said on August 22, 2008. Surrogate births are rare in Japan and banned by industry groups, but it is not illegal. The Clinic refused to provide information regarding the baby. This procedure has been done because the woman’s daughter has no uterus. Both surrogate mother and baby were fine.
